Linseed is a herbaceous plant that can grow up to 80cm in height. They produce fruits that look like tiny capsules that contain brownish, slithly flat, seeds. These seeds have high levels of fatty acids, omega 3,omega 6 and omega 9, which benefit the respiratory and circulatory sistem and keep hair and skin healthy.
Powder and oil are produced out of these seeds. The first one is used to replace eggs in different gluten free or vegan pastry recipes beause it gives a lot of consistency to the dough. Additionaly, the oil is used to clean the digestive sistem by drinking a teaspoon of it with a glass of water and to heal wounds or sun irritiations.
